Built around the 127 acre Rancho Santa Fe Farms golf course, this guard-gated golf community consists of 95 homes, ranging from 5,000-8,000 sq. feet. with prices starting in the $2 million range. Lot sizes range from half an acre to one acre. Rancho Santa Fe Farms was originally designed by Pete, Perry and Alice Dye with assistance from golfing great Tommy Jacobs. The Farms golf course was extensively remodeled in 2000 under the guidance of golf course architect John Fought and his associate, PGA tour professional Tom Lehman. Overlooking the magnificent golf course is a 38,000 square-foot clubhouse designed by clubhouse architect Robert Altevers.
Public & Private Institutions Of Learning
Education is provided by public, private and home schools. State governments set overall educational standards, often mandate standardized tests for K–12 public school systems and supervise, usually through a board of regents, state colleges, and universities. Funding comes from the state, local, and federal government. Private schools are generally free to determine their own curriculum and staffing policies, with voluntary accreditation available through independent regional accreditation authorities, although some state regulation can apply.
