Explore Food, Wine and Music at the Newport Beach Wine & Food Festival

The 4th Annual Newport Beach Wine & Food Festival will take place at the end of this month, providing visitors with the opportunity to sample one-of-a-kind dinners created by celebrity chefs and local masters along with over 250 varieties of wines, spirits and craft brews.

Sampling Dishes from the Greatest

Celebrity chefs and local masters will offer taste bites from 40 different top restaurants, all of which are included in the price of admission to the Newport Beach Wine & Food Festival. Celebrity chefs attending the event include:

These and other world-renowned celebrity and local executive chefs will offer live cooking demos, book signings, tasting and more and they serve savory bites and mingle with guests. A number of demonstrations and tasting panels will take place throughout the festival on a first come first served basis, with the first 150 people to each panel or demo getting a seat. Therefore, it is in your best interest to arrive early for the demons and panels that you really want to attend.

Enjoying Wine with Your Favorite Sommeliers

The Daytime Festival on Saturday and Sunday will offer the ultimate experience for wine lovers of all levels. Some of the world-renowned sommeliers who will be participating in this year’s event include:

These master sommeliers will hosting educational wine panels and tastings included in the price of admission.

Relax to the Sounds of Music

In addition to enjoying savory bites and exceptional wines, guests will also be entertained by the smooth, soulful sounds of world-renowned jazz musicians as they perform during the Daytime Festival. Situated between the two Grand Tasting Pavilions, the Jazz Lounge provides opportunities for guests to get lost in the sounds of music as they taste and sip the day away.

Among this year’s musical entertainment will be the R&B, funk and contemporary urban jazz powerhouse DW3. Spearheaded by brothers Eric and Billy Mondragon and Damon Reel, DW3’s 2011 single “I Got You” hit #16 on the Billboard charts while their “On the Floor” album went #1 on eight UK soul charts. The group has recently expanded to nine pieces with the addition of a horn section.

Parking and Tickets

The Newport Beach Wine and Food Festival takes place from September 29th through October 1st at the Newport Beach Civic Center, which is located at 100 Civic Center Drive in Newport Beach. Parking is available across the street from the Civic Center at Corporate Plaza, which is located between Avocado and Civic Center Drive. Tickets to the event range from $150 to $295 depending upon the package purchased. If tickets are still available on the day of the event, they will be available at the door. All attendees must be 21 or older.
