There are more than 100 public school districts in the DFW area. According to Niche, the top five school districts in DFW include Carroll Independent School District, Highland Park Independent School District, Coppell Independent School District, Frisco Independent School District, and Lovejoy Independent School District. In addition, there are a number of notable colleges and universities in the area including the University of Texas at Arlington, University of North Texas, Southern Methodist University, and Texas Christian University.
